Description

The Willow Springs School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor or closely related field to join our school system in providing behavioral health support to students in need. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff to assess and address behavioral health concerns, provide counseling services, and develop and implement treatment plans.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address behavioral health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and social/emotional difficulties
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to identify and address students' behavioral health needs
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' mental health status and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support to students in urgent need of assistance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of counseling sessions, treatment plans, and progress reports
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice in counseling

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling or related field
  • Licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of practice
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or mental health setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students and establish a therapeutic relationship
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques and modalities for treating behavioral health concerns
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
